PRIVACY · WHAT THIS SITE KEEPS
What this site keeps.
And what it does not.
THE QUOTE FORM · ANALYTICS · HOSTING · TEXT MESSAGES · PHONE CALLS · BOOKED CALLS · NOTHING SOLD
01 · THE QUOTE FORM
Your drawing goes to the shop. Nowhere else.
What you type into the quote form or the job walk — your name, your email, your company, the job description and any drawing you attach — is sent by email to RFQ@CycloneMachining.com. The attachments ride the email; this site does not store them.
The same request, without the drawing itself, is also posted to the shop's own team channel (hosted by Slack), so the people who machine your part see it the moment it arrives. A request the form could not accept is posted there too, so nobody who tried to reach the shop is lost.
The form also carries two small facts about your visit: the first page you opened on this site, and the name of the site that sent you there (a search engine, for example) — never the address of that page. Your browser holds them only until the tab closes, they travel only inside a request you choose to send, and no cookie is set for them.
We use what you send to quote the job and to talk to you about it. That is the whole use.
02 · ANALYTICS
We watch pages, not people.
This site runs Microsoft Clarity so we can see which pages get read and where a visitor stops scrolling. Clarity records page views, clicks and scrolling, and sets cookies in your browser, Microsoft's own among them, to tell one visit from the next.
Anything you type is masked before it is recorded. The quote form, the job walk and the thank-you that follows them are masked whole: nothing written or shown in them leaves your browser for Clarity, only that a visitor clicked there. Microsoft's own statement covers what Clarity does with the data: privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
03 · HOSTING
The host keeps ordinary request logs.
The site is served by Vercel. Like every web host, it keeps standard request logs — the address a request came from, the page asked for, the time — for a short period to run and protect the service.
04 · WHAT NEVER HAPPENS
Nothing is sold. Nothing is shared for advertising.
No data from this site is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. There is no ad network on these pages and no third-party tracker beyond the analytics named above; the team channel is the shop's own.
Questions about any of this: RFQ@CycloneMachining.com.
05 · TEXT MESSAGES
Only to numbers that agreed. Shared with no one.
If you give the shop a mobile number and agree to texts, in person, by email, by ticking the box on the quote form, or by texting the shop first, the shop may text you about your request, your quote, your order and your questions. The shop's own staff receive its alerts on the same line.
For that, the shop keeps your number, the record of how and when you agreed, the texts it sent and whether they were delivered, with the record of your job. That is all texting collects, and it is used only to send and account for those texts.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Twilio, the shop's messaging carrier, handles the texts in order to deliver them and for nothing else.
Message frequency varies: a few texts a week while a job is live, rarely otherwise. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, HELP for help, or call (616) 990-1333. The full terms are at cyclonemachining.com/sms-terms.
06 · PHONE CALLS
Every number on this site rings the shop.
Every phone link on this site dials the shop's main line, (616) 990-1333.
The site keeps no record of your call or your number. It notes only that a phone link was used, as described under Analytics above.
07 · BOOKING A CALL
Pick the time. The shop calls you.
Book a call opens a scheduling page run by Cal.com. What you enter there, your name, your email, the number to call and a note about the part, goes to Cal.com and to the shop. Cal.com sends you the confirmation and, an hour before the call, a reminder by email and text to the number you gave. The shop uses the booking to call you at the time you picked and to talk about the job.
The booking also notes which page of this site you booked from and the name of the site that sent you here, never the address of that page. Cal.com's own policy covers what it keeps: cal.com/privacy.
