AFTER YOU SEND IT
It goes to a monitored inbox.
IT GETS READ
RFQ@CycloneMachining.com is read by the people who machine your part. An automatic receipt confirms it arrived; the answer comes from a person.
A PERSON ANSWERS
By email — or on the phone if you would rather talk: put your number in the note, or call. Bring the print into the conversation and it stays there.
YOU GET A STRAIGHT READ
Feasibility, material, and how it would run here. If the job is wrong for this shop, you hear that too — that answer is worth more than a quote you can't use.
ASKED BEFORE THE FIRST CALL
Seven things settled before you dial.
Are you a broker?
No. You talk to the people who machine the part — there is no sales layer between you and the floor, and the print never leaves this building on Clay Ave SW to be priced by somebody you were never told about.
What should I send?
The print, the model, or the part — whichever exists. The shop works from STEP; IGES, DXF or a PDF print upload with the form, and a native CAD file comes by email to RFQ@CycloneMachining.com. A broken part with no print is a real job: the original gets measured.
Do I need a quantity before I call?
No. One is the work here — first articles, one-offs, development hardware, and part two when the print changes. If you know how many, say so; if you do not yet, that is an answer too.
What happens to my drawing?
It quotes the job and it makes the part — that is the whole use. It is not a sample, not a portfolio piece, and it does not leave the building. NDAs are signed here as a matter of course; send yours as a PDF with the file.
What if the date is fixed?
Say so. Expedite moves the job to the front and it costs more — both said plainly before anything else is agreed. What is possible against your date is read from the print and the material, never promised on the spot.
What if I don't have a drawing yet?
Send the part. With no print the part is the drawing — it gets measured here and the geometry comes from that. Or walk it: the guided path above builds the request from your answers, one question at a time.
Can I send a part just for finishing?
Yes. A part that is already machined can come in for the surface alone — honing, vapor blasting, shot peening or grinding — or the drawing can come in and both happen under one roof. Name the surfaces that seal, slide or bond and the ones that only need to look right; it decides how the part is held.
Start with whatever you already have.
A finished print, a rough model, or the part itself — none of it has to be tidy to be read.
